Surviving Winter Appeal 23/24
100,000 people in Suffolk will be in fuel poverty this winter!
Now in its 13th year, the Surviving Winter fund exists to reach those most in need – hard-working low-income families, individuals who are struggling to make ends meet and the older generation.
Working In partnership with Citizens Advice across the county, Suffolk Community Foundation runs an all-year-round programme not only helping households with fuel payments but also support and advice to make households more resilient for the future.
Last year’s appeal awarded over £340,000 in payments supporting 1,000’s of homes across Suffolk. We can’t thank everyone enough for your contributions and the difference you have already made in people’s lives, BUT the need is still as great as ever.
If you are in a position to donate your Winter fuel payment or would just like to be part of making a difference in Suffolk, then please give what you can – together we can help keep the people of Suffolk warm.

As always, we encourage you to hold on to your Winter Fuel Payment and other cost of living support if you need it to stay warm and well this winter.
However, in the long held ‘Don’t Need it, Donate it’ spirit of this appeal, we ask that you give what you can.

You can donate to the Appeal online by using the button link below or by telephone T. 01473 602 602 (during office hours) or visit any branch of Suffolk Building Society to make a payment over the counter.
Please do also confirm if we are able to claim Gift Aid as this will boost your donation by a further 25% at no cost to you.
